Welcome to Impact Academy South

We are a privately owned K-12 school for children with special needs. The South Tampa location is located just minutes from the Selmon (Crosstown) Expressway and close to MacDill Air Force Base. The facility is over 11,000 square feet. This location boasts an amazing sensory gym with a large ball bit, large cafeteria/assembly area, home economics program, ABA clinics, a large outdoor area with a pirate ship playground and much more.

Impact Academy South serves children ages three – 22. We understand that each child is different and capable of achieving their academic and social goals at varying times. Success is obtainable by developing an individualized plan for your child’s needs; incorporating the use of technology for communication in conjunction with an adaptive curriculum. Impact Academy South will accept the McKay and Gardiner (PLSA) Scholarships, (www.floridaschoolchoice.org) and private pay. If your child currently attends a public school and has an IEP, we will happily speak with you regarding your child’s matrix scores and explain the financial/and academic benefits available to you when transferring to a private school.

Our up and coming transitional day training program will be for adults 18 years of age and older. Independence is something that is important to all of us. Our day service program will assist the people we serve in preparing to achieve greater independence so that they may lead the lives they choose with dignity and purpose. We will focus on life skills, job skills, continued academics, arts, games and physical fitness. Our training facility will strive to attain the greatest degree of independence for each individual.
